The government must make unemployment accessible from home and ensure that it is fully funded.

Looking over their annual reports, they don't seem to have any direct experience with this kind of thing, and have an uneven record of contributions to program services.

I would suggest that perhaps others take a look at their IRS 990's to determine the appropriateness of this organization for the proposed task:

They may do a bang up lobbying job and pay celebrities to do stuff, but there is no reason to believe that this lobbying organization has any experience in managing a "fund to assist service employees".

I would strongly recommend that no one donate to the link in the OP.

Why?

Okay in 2016 this organization took in $1.28M, spent a measly $20K on actual services, and paid $873K on salaries:

Contributions $1,287,363 98.3%
Program services $20,710 1.6%

Executive compensation $79,551 1.7%
Professional fundraising fees $10,904 0.2%
Other salaries and wages $873,13

That's some tall bullshit right there.

2017 is more of a hoot:

Contributions $423,354 99.9%
Program services $0

Other salaries and wages $125,350 20.7%

Net Assets $202,539

They took in $423K, spent NOTHING on program services, paid some people $125K and put the rest away.
