Should we start a list of employers who are preemptively being good to their employees?

I’ll start: I just got an email from the CEOs of Nordstrom Rack, saying they’ll be paying their employees for the next two weeks despite closing their stores.

And my daughter’s roommate just got a job at Buffalo Exchange and she will also be paid as usual for 2 weeks even though they’ll be closed.

I think it’s so important to publicly give credit where it is due. Some good employers are stepping up and taking care of their people in a crisis that is NOT of their making.

No questions asked. A kid shows up they get a sack lunch including a turkey and cheese sub sandwich.

I thought that was cool.

are not closing down. They have a plan to shut down any plant that has 3 employees test positive. Mean while they are having salary employees, that can work from home do so.
Might be time to recall some execs.
