A way to explain "flatten the curve" to those with children.

Think about all the work it was to raise your 2(3,4) children. What would it have been like if they had been twins(triplets, quintuplets)? You would have needed two(three, four) of everything, crib, playpen, car seat, stroller etc. But since they came separate you could reuse things. Just like a hospital bed or a ventilator if people get sick one after the other instead of all at once..

they wanna make sure they have enough of everything for 4-8 weeks for the family w/o leaving home. I don’t blame the hoarders in the slightest. I blame stores that don’t impose limits. When the store reps tell us - not to worry, we have plenty of supply. It’s irrelevant. If a store employee tests positive for covid-19, the store will close for a while and all supplies that employee had possibly touch will be discarded. Out most important resource is delivery! Shut down grocery stores and impose delivery only services.
