she was addressing the bond yields, not just stocks crashing. I was shocked to hear one of their top people say depression as that was opposite of many of their other talking heads over the past 3 weeks who were cheerleading and trying to promote buying or holding.

While trump and GOP policies will take us down even more, possibly into a depression, and after trump and the GOP did many of the same things that happened before the one hit in the 20's, given the wealthy breaks. trumps horrible response to the corona virus will come back to haunt him badly, no matter how he tries to spin it and lie about it, he failed. We get putins propaganda on the virus from trump and the GOP , not the truth, and trump again with the GOP repeating putins propaganda, like they did on the Ukraine issue. The Prince and Putin are against each other now with trump in the middle compromised by both of them. This will be interesting who's side trump takes now.

needs to be contextualized. This isn’t a great recession where fundamentals of the economy were crumbling. I think we are two months away from easing of the outbreak (warmer months) and I think the stocks will start to climb back to previous levels till the end of the year. It appears China is restoring manufacturing which means supply should stabilize by summer. Right now is unprecedented circumstance of low supply and low demand with oil crashing. No predictions can be made of course as we have never been here before.

A lot of the recent economic “boom” was from oil shale. West Texas, North Dakota, Canada...
This will hit that sector hard and have a huge ripple effect. We already had signs of recession prior to coved-19.

There are credit derivatives in the oil market that make the 2008 mortgage market look like child’s play.

On of Trump's favor crowd-rousers is asking people how their 401k is doing.

Bet he's not asking that anymore!

A $1000 face value, 30 year treasury is selling for almost $1300.

Your fund will likely hold bonds like that and others and their price increase will push the funds value upward.

I knew this was coming. It was only going to take one big set-back for the u.s. to ruin the rest of the world by electing a lower life form for potus.

The world needs to have confidence in us, and it doesn't, because we did this to ourselves.

“So this is it," said Arthur, "We are going to die."
"Yes," said Ford, "except... no! Wait a minute!" He suddenly lunged across the chamber at something behind Arthur's line of vision. "What's this switch?" he cried.
"What? Where?" cried Arthur, twisting round.
"No, I was only fooling," said Ford, "we are going to die after all.”
