Kansas confirms 1st coronavirus case
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas Department of Health and Environment confirmed that one person tested “presumptive-positive” for the novel coronavirus, which causes the respiratory disease known as COVID-19.
Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly announced on Saturday the state’s first confirmed coronavirus case.
In a press conference, she said that a 50-year-old woman who lives in Johnson County is the confirmed case. The woman is in home isolation.
