Romney to vote for Burisma subpoena

https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/486311-romney-to-vote-for-burisma-subpoena

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) will vote to subpoena a former consultant linked to Burisma Holdings, as part of a GOP probe into Hunter Biden and the Ukraine gas company.

Liz Johnson, a spokeswoman for Romney, said Friday that he would support the subpoena — which is expected to request documents and an interview with former Blue Star Strategies consultant Andrii Telizhenko — during Wednesday's committee meeting after getting assurances from Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.).

“Senator Romney has expressed his concerns to Chairman Johnson, who has confirmed that any interview of the witness would occur in a closed setting without a hearing or public spectacle. He will therefore vote to let the Chairman proceed to obtain the documents that have been offered," Johnson said.

Romney's support means Johnson, who chairs the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, is expected to have the simple majority on the panel needed to subpoena Telizhenko.

Damnit, Trump got to him.

When it matters, he’s just another republican. We all got excited about his moral compass when he voted yes on article I...a vote thst was never going to change the outcome.

Here, where it would have mattered...he’s just another republican as usual.

WE all know it's BS... the Trumpers won't vote for Biden or Sanders...but the low information voters who could influence battleground states have no clue.

I'm not too worried except for those low-information voters. The low-information voters were swayed by the total BS about Hillary's emails and Comey's public declarations about it.

In my opinion, MOST voters are low-information, compared to DU.

documents they're looking for will not show any proof of their accusations & Joe has already said he & his campaign are going to fight this BS. I just think it's better to get everything out in the open and smash the GOP BS before it start again.

on a given day. Democrats should be going after all adult Trump children and Jared like wildfire. No more "high road". Republicans will pound you into the ground and then piss on you. Time for Democrats to fight back in kind.
