Dumpy contradicts explanation about why CDC trip was scrapped

As he signed the $8.3 billion funding package, Trump contradicts his WH’s explanation about why CDC trip was scrapped. He now says: “We may go - they thought there was a problem with CDC with somebody who had the virus,” but it turned out negative, adding: “I may be going.”

with only a few cases; where Washington State with 70+ cases didn't get any first?

[Also sort of unrelated, my daughter is employed by CDC in a policy position. She will know when she gets back from vacation Monday].

I live in the Seattle area and visit Portland frequently, use the mass transit in both. I think it's a wise move to put money towards Oregon given the increased likeliehood of transmission in crowded trains and buses. It will be good to hear what the real reason for the funding is, I can only speculate.

"Dr. Fauci requested that I not go because he said he could explain something to me a million times and it was like talking to a brick wall, and then I turn around and go on Fox and Friends and say the exact opposite of what he told me, and he said I have the mind of a six-year old and that it wasn't worth his time to attempt to communicate with me, so that's why I'm not going."
