with Ann Richards during college when she was running for Governor. She was one heck of a woman.

(219 posts)5. Holland Taylor's play "channels" Ann Richards
Holland Taylor researched several years and wrote (and usually stars in) a play called "Ann".
https://www.theannrichardsplay.com/ is the official website. I hope the play comes to PBS.
Might be clips on YouTube. Enjoy! I believe she said "born with silver foot in his mouth" in reference to a Bush candidate.

(180 posts)10. She was ahead of her time
She'd be the nominee in 2020 if she were alive. She is everything balled up into one. She is Warren smart but oozing with charisma and a Texas downhome twang. She was so relatable. She would wipe the floor with everyone of the candidates this year.
