Watching Rachel's interview of Elizabeth Warren makes me choke up

The very reason I don’t get involved in the primaries is just to avoid the heartbreak of losing the fight. But this time I’m really feeling the disappointment. It’s damn time for a woman to be President. Warren would probably have been a better President than a Sanders or Biden, even though they are both probably good choices.

I’m 71 years old. It’s time damn it!

They’re both knowledgeable in an expert sort of way, up to date on current affairs, interesting in conversation, amazing in their abilities and confidence as leaders and adept in facing and solving problems that affect the populace. They’re so competent in everything they do that you don’t even think about it. You just take it for granted.

I've heard Sanders on Thom Hartmann's show for years, and was most familiar with him. He did a lot to move things to the left and get these topic discussed on corporate media. I just couldn't bring myself to change my preference, but in the last few months I really came to realize that Warren would be the best choice for president we're likely to get for a long time.

From her policies to her "plans for that" to her pleasant demeanor. For being such a great explainer and for being such a good ass-kicker. We are really missing out by not having a Warren presidency. I just hope others someday realize what a loss this is.

Hillary Clinton was, by just about any measure, the most qualified person to ever run for the office of President of the United States. Ironically, I sent a letter to Elizabeth Warren that year asking her to run against Hillary. She declined to do so.

Elizabeth Warren could have been a great President. I feel you.

What a class act!

Dignity & grace.
She put her heart and soul into it.
Gave it everything she had.
Not a bunch of whining.
Compassion for all those who tried so hard for her.
The pinky promises.
Yet very upbeat
Such intellect in an off the cuff response to the economy. - explaining like a good teacher so we could all understand
An indomitable spirit cheering everyone on to better things

One hell of a human being.

in power, including all who voted for him, all who contributed to the defeat of Democrats, Sanders and his ilk who lie about and subvert confidence in Democrats, all the able nonvoters for sure, and various other scoundrels and fools.

But not the fault of the many millions of decent and responsible citizens who've voted their decency and responsibility and have no part of that.

...but in the end, we were just too upset to watch it, wine or no. It's on DVR; we'll watch it when we feel up to it.

To this day, my sister and my husband have never been able to watch the SNL episode where Kate McKinnon, playing Hillary, sang Hallelujah. It was right after the election, and Leonard Cohen had just died, too.

It's just so fucking unfair. All of it. We had our candidate, and fuckery stole her from us. TWICE.

She's the only politician who talks like I think.

Who thinks about the people suffering.

The only thing she seems to want is to help people.

That is how I've felt about her since the first time I saw her on tv 10+? years ago.. before she was a senator, back when she was just trying to stop poor people from being robbed by the rich.

She's my hero.

that she would have made a fine nominee and a very good president.

Just because she genuinely cares about people.

It was heartbreaking for my whole family because we all voted for her, and it is about darned time for a woman to be president.

far along. It. really. is. happening. here. Our nation is practically shaking under the weight of its approach.

In a very real sense, we already elected our first woman president, but the power of the increasingly fascistic right was demonstrated by their success in subverting and taking that election. And a bunch of others. We now don't know if can elect anyone president with any amount of support, or if 2012 is going to turn out to have been the last time.

As for wonderful Elizabeth Warren, yes she is. But if she was our strongest candidate to stop them, she'd be in the lead. Instead, our strongest candidate is and has been all along except for a dangerous event when RW-serving MSM and other pernicious actors tried to take him out by declaring his candidacy nationally dead. It lost him support from those who looked anxiously for someone who could win, but didn't overcome the reality of his widespread support. No surprise that they did try, though, and they will again. He has the potential to sweep Democrats across the nation into power on his long coattails.

Fwiw, and I do love the idea, if their ability to overthrow our elections isn't strong enough to stop us this time, Warren might still become our first woman vice president. They discussed it in 2015, when he was considering running and she wasn't. A happy thought for what could be.
