It is already underway, and his ineptitude (in reality more like malice) was definitely a contributing factor.

This will be far worse in the US than China. Trump's inaction and downplaying of it guaranteed that.

The time to act was 6 weeks ago.

If you notice, most of the other countries where this is occurring are very localized in the outbreak. Italy has 1 small region, but then spread some. In the US, there are cases spread out all over the country, each with the potential to turn that area into its own Wuhan. Terrifying.

Although I'm in an epicentre societal life has not changed and the numbers are not blowing up(possibly due to non-testing).
