Why? I never noticed that.

I guess maybe after some amount of time the scent ingredients, if any, might degrade...? Regardless, I should think the sanitizer should still "work."

I checked Amazon and the price gouging is outrageous.

The best offer I found was $36.00 for two eight ounce bottles. These bottles are generally $2.99. I went back to search for it for this post, and the best they have now is $54.00.

I'm thinking that this Administration dragged its feet for two months, and now the panic buying is beginning.

Make sure that you keep the hydrogen peroxide in the original bottle. It'll ruin it if it's removed to a clear bottle.

I'm going to drive to the store tomorrow early in the morning to see what's left in my area. I will send you some if there's any available.

Little else is more American -- sadly. If you can't make a buck off someone else's bad luck or fear, then what good is it, right?

That's what we all learned from St. Ronnie Ray-gun.

Where do we buy essential oils? Trader Joes?

Ingredients

1 TBSP rubbing alcohol.
1/2 tsp vegetable glycerin (optional)
1/4 cup aloe vera gel.
10 drops cinnamon essential oil.
10 drops tea tree essential oil.
distilled water (colloidal silver/ionic silver adds antibacterial power if available)
other essential oils (just for scent)

But a video on youtube recommends 99% isopropyl alcohol. I'm guessing because it evaporates quicker when you use it. Also, less water so the Vitamin E pills will be a better preservative.

I constantly wipe all surfaces but pay particular attention to all the door handles, exit push-bars, handles on the glass doors to the cooler, etc. Anywhere I can think of that people put their hands. We use food service sanitizer (also ethyl alcohol) for wetting horizontal surfaces throughly, but I can't help but think that the same thing could be achieved with a weak bleach and water solution.

Edit...another sanitizer I use at work labeled as effective against Coronavirus uses ammonia compounds.
