Apricothellbeast is doing another presser on the Corona Virus per Daniel Dale

Daniel Dale (@ddale8) Tweeted:
Trump has added a coronavirus press conference to his schedule: https://t.co/hMAHhDVcu3

His investments have got to be bigly down

Also, from my POV, his previous presser didn't impact global markets, he is not a believable POTUS any where except for his cult, and Cult45
will never ever understand that

Can the House or Senate call it back?
Can we have the Praetorian Guard arrest him?

3. Bet it has more to do with the market than actual public health.

I'd be pleased if he started walking back all of his "hoax" comments, but I doubt he's smart enough to realize the box he's put himself in.

The trumpers/republicans need that false fact to organize around & for their base IMO.

They & he need the country divided, badly split

4. I think he's making the problem (as he sees it) worse/self-fulfilling.

1) He thinks "the problem" is the stock market reaction to the coronavirus (rather than the outbreak itself).

2) So he goes out there and denies it is a big deal, says it's totally under control.

3) He thinks that should reassure the market but it actually spooks them -- because his transparent BS-ing highlights that he has no interest or intention of actually dealing with the outbreak effectively, and worse indicate his willingness to hamstring the experts who ought to be dealing with it in a dopey effort to control the PR message.

4) So the markets react poorly to the growing certainty of further loss of productivity and sales due to the inevitably worsening pandemic.

5) He sees how badly the markets did in the latest trading session, aaaaaand.... he cycles back to #1.
