and playing on the big flag screen was Newsmax tv. Is this a BK policy of just a franchise choice ?

(7,637 posts)so its likely a local franchisee decision.

(14,961 posts)in the summer, there was a TV that played weather and clips of employees speaking, I was there often, I would have noticed pro Trump content. I guess it could be a new policy, if it is I hope it backfires.

(35,729 posts)and if you drop an email to the marketing dept at BK, I can almost guarantee you it will never be on Newsmax again.
We have about half a dozen McDonald's in our area. The one has Faux on all the time since its renovation. I have said something to the manager twice and it is still on all the time. I told them I won't go there again if they do, you can see the screen if you drive around it and I do that and just drive off.
I had my fill of McDees a long time ago, but the girls ask for it.
They know they deal.

(35,729 posts)In McDonald's there is an operations manager who is in charge of the franchisees in a given area. I would contact both that ops manager (name available from McDonald's regional office) and say how offended you are that they push the politics of hate, etc., through Fox.
McDonald's national headquarters, which is in Chicago, should be copied. They would definitely say something to that franchisee if they thought customers were offended.
I used to be in marketing communication for them in the NY area; that is how I know this. They are very sensitive to this type of thing.
Worth a try ...

(1,822 posts)I will say though that there is hardly a restaurant or food court or bar around here that doesnt have at least 1 TV set to Fox News at all times.
