One feels a bit of Churchill might be in order...

Nigel Hamilton's FDR at war trilogy blew my mind with things I never knew. The British Empire was fading - dissolving. Churchill was a great spiritual leader but his military strategies ended in disaster after disaster. FDR controlled Allied strategy globally. Canadian PM MacKenzie King was a close FDR friend. Morgenthau an FDR neighbor. MacArthur shook down Philippine President for 500k.

Hitler is old socks. A greater tell might be Trump contemporary strongman cabal because none of them like democracy - it's bad for incumbents.
