They marched, they protested, they pleaded with us warmongers...they warned us that there was no strategy, no exit plan. They mocked us for "freedom fries." They stood in "first amendment" zones to shout at us...on and on.

They warned us that the Iraqis would throw shoes at us, not flowers as we claimed. Begged us not to vote in Homeland Security. Howled at us for making Americans remove their shoes and give up their fingernail clippers before flying.

Oh, how wrong we were!
