Trump doesn't think he's going to get re-elected or he wouldn't have started this early. It's not just about sending a signal to Roger Stone. Trump is concerned he might lose.

I think he's doing it because he knows he's rigging it and no one can stop him, so why not flaunt his brazen abuse of power.
