People who steal, bully and lie throughout their lives may have smaller brains, researchers say.

MRI scans suggested 45-year-olds who had shown antisocial behaviour from childhood had reduced surface area and a thinner cortex in parts of the brain previously linked to such behaviour.

But it is unclear if this was inherited or due to factors such as substance abuse, low IQ or poor mental health.

1. Believe the research is saying certain key structures are smaller, not necessarily the size overall

AFAIK overall brain size has no links to ... anything really.

2. i was really struck by a comment by his former asst, barbara res.

referring to the clubbing/cocaine years, tho she didnt say that, that he really changed, and he wouldnt take anyone's advice anymore. and that is when he started getting in real trouble. iow, his brain changed when he started doing heavy drugs. and we have good reason to believe he still is.
and we have some evidence that a lot of the base does, too.
some day someone will tease this out.
