All devoted to the notion that the universe is less than 10,000 years old.

Their method is sticking their fingers in their ears and crying "Is NOT!"

The staff will dress sexy... animals and members of Noah's family.

A foxy lady might be dealing your cards, a big cuddly bear of a guy might be serving you your drinks, and Noah's daughter's are on the stage dancing with pink tutu wearing hippopotamuses.

How to get a male/female pair of ALL living animal AND plant life on one tiny boat. Even more baffling that some life forms are not native to where the ARK was supposedly built. And do I need to even mention all the bacteria and algea in the world that Noah had no way of seeing.

Sorry, the whole thing is horseshit, a string of fairy tales that were spun to keep generally ignorant populations in line.

Ancient Chinese Megaflood May Be Fact, Not Fiction

Myth of land-changing deluge supported by geology, as are flood legends from Scandinavia to Tibet

Modern people have long wondered about ancient stories of great floods. Do they tell of real events in the distant past, or are they myths rooted in imagination? Most familiar to many of us in the West is the biblical story of Noah’s flood. But cultures around the world have passed down their own tales of devastating natural disasters.

New research recently published in Science by a group of mostly Chinese researchers led by Qinglong Wu reports geological evidence for an event they propose may be behind China’s story of a great flood. This new research delves into the field of geomythology, which relates oral traditions and folklore to natural phenomena like earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and floods.

Who mostly settled near rivers, experienced flooding. And then told stories about it.

Noah is one of them, borrowed from Babylonian.

This isn't a revelation.

Earth had enormous water mass? It only had something like two exposed continents. In time the earth lost some water due to evaporation and removal by the solar winds, and more landmass got exposed, along with the two large continents breaking up into smaller land masses. Just the geological history of the earth over 2 plus billion years would result in land mass that will show signs of having at some point been submerged.

Since the people who wrote the Bible never explored the world at large, their definition of "the world" is modern-day Egypt and Israel.

If you want a complete list of the animals that would have been on the Ark if it had existed, turn to Leviticus 11: a list of every animal that existed in the Holy Land, neatly broken down into "edible" and "inedible" categories.

The fact that last summer, the owners submitted a claim to their insurance for flood damage.

This monument to stupidity is only a couple hours away from me. I've driven past it a few times, and you get to see the signs for it with the big dinosaur head poking out of it (yes, they claim there were dinosaurs on the Ark).

I read a couple of years ago that if you go by the dimensions stated in the Bible, you couldn't have gotten every species of BEETLE on the Ark, let alone 2 of EVERY species. The fact that Evangelicals actually believe what is clearly a bullshit story (and it's just one of MANY bullshit stories they fight to the death to defend) just goes to show you the intellectual level their operating on.

Want to baffle an Ark believer? Ask them what the animals were eating. Did the lions eat the gazelles? Did the herbivores have any kind of plants to eat? What happened to their.........waste? Were there penguins and polar bears on the Ark (considering Noah would have had to have made two stops at each pole of the Earth to collect them)? How about kangaroos? And when the flood waters receded, and there were only 2 of every animal left, how did they repopulate the world with animals? Were they all horribly inbred?

If you’re going to believe absurd bullshit you might as well believe God shrunk them all and stopped their digestive processes.

You can’t convince someone on facts and reason if they’re just inventing more bullshit or claiming it’s a test of faith.

Holy Land theme park is laying off most of its employees and shutting down most departments
https://www.orlandosentinel.com/travel/attractions/os-et-holy-land-layoffs-20200218-tvcgaqywszad3nhor5s2itdjlq-story.html

The Holy Land Experience is laying off most of the employees at its Orlando property — 118 people — in a corporate-wide reorganization that puts the future of the biblical attraction in question.

Earlier this year, Holy Land announced it was ending all stage shows at its property visible from Interstate 4 at the Conroy Road exit.

On Friday, the company notified the state about just how vast the layoffs were going to be, accounting for all its workers who perform in shows or support the productions, cuts that would encompass “most of its employees and positions” at its 4655 Vineland Road property. Laid off employees were also notified Friday, according a letter sent to Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and the state.

The layoffs would take effect on April 18 and employees should expect the layoffs to be permanent, the notice said. Among the eliminated positions are 43 actors and musicians, 17 guest services associates, as well as numerous techs, retail employees and food service workers. Workers will be offered severance based on their seniority.
