Although the Thunderbirds did a flyover during the national anthem at the 2019 Super Bowl at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, their only sporting event this year is NASCARs biggest race.

(11,443 posts)Stands were pretty much full until the rains came. Overall though, auto racing has suffered a steep decline in attendance the past few years.

(1,178 posts)They just said Air Force One is about to depart the airport, and the race hasn't even started because of a rain delay. Obviously, it was nothing more than a publicity stunt.
