Trump will attend the Daytona 500, NASCAR's premier event

President Trump will attend Sunday’s Daytona 500, the White House confirmed, marking his latest appearance at a high-profile sports event.

The Secret Service all but announced the president’s appearance, tweeting Wednesday morning that it was establishing a 30-mile “no drone zone” around Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Federal Aviation Agency alerted pilots Monday to expect VIP movement and restrictions this weekend near Daytona Beach.

Attending the race fits naturally into the president’s schedule. He will spend the holiday weekend at his Mar-a-Lago resort, then fly north to Daytona Beach for the NASCAR Cup Series’s season opener and premier event. It also figures to be friendly ground for Trump, who was warmly greeted last month when he attended college football’s national championship game between LSU and Clemson in New Orleans.

When Joey Logano, the 2018 Cup Series champion, visited the White House in April, Trump praised the driver and team owner Roger Penske, saying: “They’re winners, right? The team is a winner, and NASCAR is a winner.”

But since then the France family has turned it into the WWE of racing...
Green, White, Checkers, one big car wreck.
Staged Racing,WTF is this?
The Car of Tommarow or "Winged Warriors" turn 'em backwards and find out that a Dodge doesn't fly well.
Mustang,Camaros,Again WTF? these are "pony"or at beast Sports Cars.
And finally since NASCAR now builds all the chassis for all the Cup,Bush and Truck series cars these are not "Stock" cars...pure race cars with fiberglass/carbonfiber bodys that don't even resemble anything stock.

I would bet that if people knew tRump was going to start the race there would be less ticket sales.
