(82,849 posts)The delay shouldn't be a problem, I'm sure. Just having his testimony scheduled should be sufficient for the AG to learn his lesson about meddling with his line prosecutors and lying to the American people about it.

(18,486 posts)It's better to have Barr come voluntarily, even if at a date later than the committee wants.
The only alternative is to subpoena him to come earlier and, if he refuses, to go to court to enforce the subpoena - which would mean he likely wouldn't testify for months, if at all.
March 31 isn't great, but if he shows up on that date, that's better than a long extended fight.
