https://www.theroot.com/why-does-chuck-todd-exist-1841585459This is a great opinion piece on why Chuck Todd occupies his current position. Instead of excerpting the first four paragraphs, let me highlight these two outstanding lines from it.
It is a quick and fun read and I encourage everyone to dive into the words of a fellow patriot fed up with Chuck Todd.

On Sunday, Todd once again displayed his proprietary brand of mediocre dimwittedness when he asked presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg why former President Barack Obama forced America into sending a white supremacist to the White House.
Let me ask the question this way, Chuck said, Toddly. In the second term of the Obama presidency, what do you think they could have done differently that might have prevented the rise of Donald Trump? ... There is no objective reason, aside from racism or sheer stupidity, why any reasonable person would ask this question. I dont think Chuck Todd is a rabid racist. But even if he is, most racists wouldnt publicly say something this stupid.
...
Hes just a regular, run-of-the-mill white man. Todd is just one example of the entitlements afforded to humdrum mouth-breathers who are born with the spectacular talents of growing beards, speaking in complete sentences and simply not fucking up their privilege. And America is nothing if not a perpetual promotion machine for whiteness.

(10,207 posts)He's a not so closeted GOP member who never met a right wing talking point he didn't like.
He makes me change the channel every time his face pops up.

(6,448 posts)Even if Todd would say something interesting and profound, I'd still have to find a way to stay awake. There were so many more qualified people over there that should have gotten the job. I'm glad the article addressed the mediocre mess that is Chuck Todd.

For some stupid dumbass reason they think that ---- and Chuck believes it as his own personal crusade --- that the needs to spend an hour a day fighting/undoing/challenging everything else that is said on MSNBC in the other 23 hours.

(36 posts)NBC thought Chuckles Todd was a step up from David Gregory!! Please go back to the Spivak formula of having one or two guests meeting a panel of news journalists. That is what Meet the Press is supposed to be.

(7,386 posts)The reporters at the local college paper ask better questions and follow-ups than this guy. 90% of the time, his "interviews" are just a chance for the subject to put out a press release. No decent follow-ups, no challenging obvious lies or misstatements. The rare off time he does it, it feels like a revelation.

(9,966 posts)... the one about Obama, was so twisted... Maybe it was Chuck's way of blaming Obama for Trump. It was also a waste of time... it was an inappropriate question for Pete. Hillary won the vote; it was not close - Trump being elected was not due to Obama. A total waste of time... I heard MSNBC wants to make Nicole two hours and move Chuck. I wonder why?
