.
We were at the Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in NYC this weekend.
I don't have photos, my one kid does, so these are photos linked on the internet.
The funniest thing, that did not go unnoticed by the attendees, were two displays in the room of leaders:
To the Left stands wax likenesses of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
To the Right stands a wax likeness of President Donald Trump.
Not one person wanted to take their picture next to the Trump figure, that was standing behind the desk.
Over the course of 15 minutes, people in line were commenting how not one person wanted to get that photo.
And this was not a group of lefties in the crowd, as they were commenting about other figures on display.
And it was hilarious that First Lady Melania Trump was not on display, just Putin's Puppet.
I guess her wax figure can't stand his ass either, and is planning on leaving him there too!

(724 posts)I'll be honest, wax figures creep me out.
Still, I love the fact that Obama beats shitler even in the battle of wax.

The other 3 are terrible.
Michelle is much prettier.
Melania is much much older.
Trump is much much uglier.

(42,403 posts)Walked through all the presidential portraits. It was a fascinating display. JFK's unfinished portrait was poignant.
It was a consecutive display so I knew where we were heading. But the line in front of PBO's portrait still surprised me, several years after it was displayed. So many people, mostly POC, waiting to get their own photos taken in front of Obama's portrait. Families, people of all ages. It moved this old white lady.
I wondered then where they will seek to hide IMPOTUS' portrait. They'll have to have one - they've got Nixon, after all. I hope it's in a dark alcove near the open area where Obama's portrait sits so his painting can stew about the lack of attention.

(3,784 posts)They had their Trump figure posed in between Putin and Kim Jong-Un and holding two Russian flags. Another reason why I love Canadians.

(1,997 posts)We sometimes get overwhelmed by the skewed view of the media. They go out of their way to find people on both sides of the spectrum, making it appear that things are balanced. In reality, a huge portion of the population finds IMPOTUS a laughing stock at the very least, and more often a danger to our country.
