Here's a very heartening exhortation to us all on twitter. Buck up! Work to do!

1/ It was right & proper to impeach Donald John Trump, the mobster-in-chief. There was never much hope of conviction by a corrupt Senate, but there's now an indelible historical record of 45’s crimes. Right matters. I salute Pelosi & Schiff especially for their Herculean efforts.

2/ The Senate GOP voted to acquit the criminal, even as they offered no defense of his crimes. Their legacies are forever eclipsed by their vote. Their pusillanimousness will hang like an albatross around their necks through Election Day, when many of them will be voted out.

3/ The process of impeachment was emotionally draining. To have to watch Trump’s surrogates lie egregiously on his behalf, to cover up his treasonous crimes, was toxic to the system.

Those braying donkeys have had their say, and now it is our turn.

4/ The House is not done. Far from it. There is much more to investigate, and Pelosi/Schiff/Nadler shall. Bolton, Barr, Pompeo, Perry, Pence…these men were all involved in at least the Ukraine scandal, and probably more. Venezuela, anyone?

5/ Not only was Trump not exonerated, he is by no means off the hook. There was much debate about whether Pelosi should include the Mueller materials in impeachment. Now, she is free to use them when the redacted excerpts become available. Lots can happen.

6/ Trump’s tax documents are going to come out in a few months. He has coughed up the Ukraine transcript before he released those docs, so they will be damning, proving beyond all doubt that he is a money launderer for the Russian mob.

7/ Barr cockblocked the Mueller Report. The Biden stuff muddied the Ukraine waters just enough. How will Trump and his minions defend his long association and partnership with the criminal underworld?

Americans love mob movies & shows. We know what that looks like.

8/ Trump is now going to turn on John Bolton, and try to have him arrested. Good. Let him. Perhaps self-preservation will compel Bolton to tell the truth, as duty and honor could not.

9/ The last three years have been one long game of Trumpist Kick the Can. But Trump is running out of time, just as he is losing control of his ability to kick effectively. Even if he lasts the full term, as now seems a near lock, he WILL pay for his crimes in time. Patience.

10/ Don’t panic about the Democrats. Iowa was a fiasco, but it’s nuts to begin the process in a state with such little diversity. Sure, Bernie beat Biden there--but that is quite like the Texans scoring a few TDs before the Chiefs. South Carolina is the thing.
