'Dishonest and corrupt': Trump unloads at National Prayer Breakfast after acquittal

President Donald Trump blasted "dishonest and corrupt" people Thursday morning at the National Prayer Breakfast, bashing his impeachment before the nonpartisan event with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi just steps away.

"As everybody knows, my family, our great country, and your president have been put through a terrible ordeal by some very dishonest and corrupt people," Trump said. "They have done everything possible to destroy us and by so doing, very badly hurt our nation. They know what they are doing is wrong, but they put themselves far ahead of our great country."

"Weeks ago, and again yesterday, courageous Republican politicians and leaders had the wisdom, fortitude and strength to do what everyone knows was right," he continued.

Entering the stage, Trump lifted up a copies of USA Today and The Washington Post with headlines reading "ACQUITTED" and "Trump Acquitted" splashed across the front pages, displaying them to the crowd.

from today...

"But we had tremendous success on 'The Apprentice,'" Trump said. "And when I ran for president, I had to leave the show. That’s when I knew for sure I was doing it. And they hired a big, big movie star — Arnold Schwarzenegger — to take my place. And we know how that turned out. The ratings went right down the tubes. It’s been a total disaster."

but at the National Prayer Breakfast?

We're in for a real treat in a couple of hours when he doesn't feel constrained by "propriety" and holds his Impeachment news conference.

He actually does understand what is right and wrong.... he just has NO PROBLEM doing what is wrong if it works to his political or financial benefit.

Trump has done a lot of things that aren’t to his benefit.

Consider the USFL thing. Pete Rozelle told Trump, “you will never be an NFL owner as long as I or any of my relatives have anything to say about it.” Trump’s response was to take the US Football League, a nice and growing-in-popularity spring football league, and destroy it in an attempt to make Trump an NFL owner through backdoor means. (Reality: Rozelle wouldn’t have approved a USFL-NFL merger if Trump was still the owner of the Generals.)

Donald Trump is a psychopath. He creates chaos and destruction because he thinks it’s funny.

But as soon as he’s out of office (assuming he doesn’t eat himself to death first) and the various attorneys general begin to prosecute him for all his felonies...then he’ll know what ordeal is.
