Nothing says "National Prayer Breakfast" like Trump waving newspaper acquittal headlines

They're showing the clip on MSNBC. Full smirk and "Apprentice" mode, holding up papers and waving them back and forth.

His scheduled 12 PM "statement" today will probably be a distillation of the worst of what we've seen in the last 3 years.

Aside from the fact that he appeared to be heavily sedated, his words were hateful towards anyone who opposed him.

I wonder if Romney bothers him more than the fact that he "reportedly" (too lazy right now to pull up links) was courting Manchin to be "his Democrat," and he not only got NO Democrats, the 2 Independent votes went against him as well.

Straight party line vote, one Republican "defection," was "acquitted" by four Republican votes.

It makes it a lot harder to take a Bill Barr-style victory lap. Sad. Very, very sad.

I didn't hear his speech and so don't know what his reasoning was. But it was very welcome and reflects well on Schumer.

The speech today at noon will be interesting and I plan to watch. I half expect him to crown himself the way Napoleon did.

I think we all knew he'd be a "sore winner."

And because with Trump, too much is never enough, he'll probably carry this all the way to November.

Romney's not up for re-election until 2024. There's nothing he can do to him other than slime him endlessly, and that's probably what he'll do.
