Instagram dickhead said he had coronavirus on a plane. The viral stunt got him arrested.

A flight headed to Jamaica on Monday was rerouted back to Toronto after a man falsely claimed that he had recently visited China, where the recent coronavirus outbreak originated.

*redacted*, a 28-year-old aspiring rapper from Vaughan, Ontario, stood up on a WestJet flight from Toronto to Montego Bay and told passengers he had just returned from Hunan province, about 300 miles from Wuhan, China, the epicenter of the new coronavirus strain.

The flight, which had 243 passengers aboard, was diverted back to Toronto about two hours after taking off. When it landed, *redacted* was escorted off, wearing a blue face mask and disposable gloves.

“That was a good one,” one passenger said as *redacted* deplaned. “We could have been in the sun.”

decades ago (well before 9-11). Dude wakes up beaten to a pulp and in custody at an airport terminal with angry cops bellowing questions at him as they drag him, handcuffed, through crowds of gawping bystanders. Dazed, he struggles to remember what led up to this moment; finally, he recalls he was rushing to a gate to catch up with his business partner...Jack.

"Hi, Jack!," he yelled. "Hi, Ja--"

They'll also sue him for the lost revenue occasioned by that plane not being in Jamaica to carry return passengers, as well as anything and everything a quick lawyer will pile on before their suit is filed.

He'll also be lucky if any of the 250 passengers choose not to join in what will undoubtedly be a class action suit against him to recoup any expenses they were out, as well as for their inconvenience, along with, again, anything and everything a quick lawyer will pile on before their suit is filed.

His life for the foreseeable future is ruined. And his woes have only begun.

But maybe he'll get a couple of songs out of the experience, starting with what can only be a chart topper, "Stupidity is Painful."

“If I could do it again, I would not do it,” he said. “I would take back what I had done in a heartbeat. It seems like hindsight is 20-20 always.”

The rapper has been reposting fan support of his prank on social media.

“There’s no such thing as bad publicity,” Potok said in an Instagram Stories video posted at 4:24 a.m. Wednesday. “Just look forward to new music and new music videos.”

Yep, he's a dickhead.
