Taylor Swift and Kanye West

I just finished watching the documentary on Taylor Swift on Netflix. I came away liking her a lot more than Kanye despite being a fan of the latter's genre and not of the former.

Why Kanye picked on Taylor I don't know. I know he loves Chump and she doesn't.

though Swift, at least, seems to have her head screwed on straight (and no, this is not a reference to West's bipolar condition--I'd never do that).

But I rather like the public persona Taylor Swift has. The self-deprecating nature of her Pepsi ad indicates to me that she doesn't take herself too seriously, and the lyrics of her songs project a maturity that one doesn't usually connect with a pop star.

I'm guessing you're talking about the Grammy ceremony when Kanye West crashed the stage to interrupt Swift's acceptance of an award that West thought should have gone to someone else (Beyonce?). My guess is that West thought he had something to say that was far more important than the award, and that he could intimidate the young singer into silence. The years since have not been kind to West, but he earned the public's antipathy.
