Mick Jagger seduced me when I was 15: Canadian actor Rae Dawn Chong

According to a new interview in the Mail on Sunday, Chong said she and the Rolling Stones frontman had a fling in 1977 while he was still married to his wife, model Bianca.

Comedian Tommy Chong’s daughter’s story means she was underage when Jagger, then 33, allegedly seduced her. But she said he didn’t know how old she was at the time.

Chong has insisted the affair was consensual, which she knows will be controversial, especially in the #MeToo era.

According to Chong, the rock star told her, “You’re cute,” to which she replied, “You’re cuter” when she was visiting New York.

1. Shame on Jagger!

I doubt that Ms. Chong is the only underaged person who had such an experience with Jagger or any of dozens of other musicians. Such shenanigans were a commonplace.

I doubt anyone checked anyone's ID in such situations. That said, a 33-year-old married man shouldn't be fooling around with young girls of any age. Rock musicians have a poor reputation with that sort of thing, for sure.

Teenagers have sex with each other. Everyone knows that, and teens can consent to such activities. The laws in most places recognize that. However, grown men who don't bother to know how old someone is before having sex with them should assume that very young people are not older than the age of consent. They don't, obviously, but they certainly should.

She was 15, she couldn't consent and he took advantage of her. To this day she may not feel she was harmed, but she likely grew up too quickly after that. 15 yer olds should not be having sex with 33 year olds, it's not healthy.

I realize those were different times, but when I was 33 there was no 15 year old in the world sexually appealing to me. Heck, when I was back in grad school in my late 20s the 18 and 19 year old girls I'd see on campus looked like children to me.

The only reason a 33 year old pursues a 15 year old is they think they'll be easy to manipulate and control. Jagger was sick.
