Today people can say , do whatever they want , hurting people and they pay no price. If you punch them you get arrested. This is one of the biggest cultural changes that has taken place in our country.
When I was young, if you crossed a line you would pay a price, someone would kick your ass. It was not accepted. Today in American you can say and do anything that hurts people, cross lines and you do not pay a price. Someone has to sue you, Barf.

Kick someone's ass because you don't like what they say or what political persuasion they are?

(4,379 posts)I am not talking gun violence. I am talking about your parents, peers, even your friends kicking your ass if you crossed a line. That's how it was when I young. Now there are no lines in our culture today.

Are you complaining that nobody is beating you?
One of the things that is not accepted in my culture, as it turns out, is parents doing just that.

(3,404 posts)....but it is legal for the president to ruin me financially destroying a 150 year old family business because he thinks tariffs and trade wars are good, legal for him to take away food assistance from people with no means to buy food, affordable medicine and healthcare is gone, which all lead to death, to me makes him a murderer. But I go to jail for terroristic assault for warning him that I will beat his ass. Go figure

My classmate kicked the thief in the balls. Not sure whether he ran off or the cops got him, but the thief sued him.
Never did hear how that turned out.
