A breakdown of false and misleading claims during the so-called "trial"

From the article at link below:

White House counsel Pat Cipollone falsely suggested Republicans were barred from the closed-door depositions conducted by the House intelligence committee. But members of three committees — both Democrats and Republicans — participated.

Jay Sekulow, President Donald Trump’s attorney, falsely said, “During the proceedings that took place before the Judiciary Committee, the president was denied the right to cross-examine witnesses … the right to access evidence and … the right to have counsel present at hearings.” The committee chair invited Trump and his lawyers to participate, but they declined.

Those of us who listen in to talk radio have heard the lawyers' basic themes for months. They built their ridiculous case on contrived nonsense that bends both space and time.

This reality of the absurd (and for the naive) are repeated on Fox News with flashy graphics and almost flashing camera angles.

Trump's lawyers were never addressing the people in the room. It was all for the right wing media.

Thanks for posting the fact check Ohioboy.

They repeat, repeat, repeat. Then you hear it repeated again by the followers. It's scary that the truth is so distorted.

in the fact finding phase and that's what they're complaining about, that they were able to act like the fact finding was the trial. They were invited to the appropriate events and given more opportunity for defense than Clinton had but when you've got no defense, you have to distract with bs.
