Is any job, even that of US Senator, worth selling your soul for?

I get that they are afraid of a very vindictive president. I get that they are afraid of losing their next election. But how is it worth it to totally sell your soul to stay in good with a corrupt president and a corrupt party?

If I had a job that made me sell my soul, I'd rather lose the job.

They LIKE what Trump is doing! They find ways to convince themselves that they are doing the right thing for their party.

I sure couldn't do it!

The other thing that pisses me off is that many will likely be dead or out of commission within the decade since they are so old. They are so spiteful.

The entire character of the electorate in their districts didn't change in 2016. If they won previous elections, they have decent chances of winning future ones even if Trump attacks them on Twitter or they get primaried. Unless all of the skeletons in their closet start marching out...

And it must be some pretty nasty dirt that overcomes how stupid and terrible they look voting this way.

She thinks she did something remarkable.

Mainers need to show her the door in such a Democratic landslide her wishy washy head will spin.

Anything/every/each time they can inflict pain or suffering on a lib is a good thing to them.

They think they are being very kind and altruistic because rather than pain and/or suffering what they would really rather do to libs is just shoot them in the head and leave libs in a pool of congealed blood.

So they think they are being kind and understanding because they did not just shoot you dead. They allow you to walk away thinking tomorrow they and there Nazi friends will get another chance to make you suffer some more at their hands and their intentions.

And that makes them happy.

They have no conception of how sick and deranged they really are nor how much their conduct, behaviors, and attitudes negatively affects, impacts, and infects our society with their Fascist crap.

It's the POWER. The level of power the representatives in our federal government have over decisions affecting the life and death of the citizenry - for some, it's potent stuff. Unfortunately, not in the "I can do things to help people" kind of way when a sociopath manages to get elected.

If I had a job that made me sell my soul, I'd rather lose the job.

That's because you're not a sociopath.

YES! For some people their soul is worth exactly one senatorship. No more, no less. Yet another time I wish I believed in hell so I would know they would rot there for all eternity.
