The fact that even as this drags on, shoes are dropping, today’s Friday news dump has yet to hit, and I get to hear all of my friends kids and their friends saying “what do you think about these liars?” knowing they will never vote republican as long as they live.

I’m not celebrating. But neither am I giving up. Yes, over the short term here, they win this one. But overall, I have more hope than I’ve had in a while. That being said, Impeachment was a must, there was no way to go into the 2020 elections and slam Repukes and tRump as scumbag anti Democracy, anti Americans. The media would have turned and said Dems were complicit by not providing oversight.

So Impeachment had to occur. Also, it is likely a blessing, from a political aspect, that the Repukes didn't allow witnesses. The core are a lost cause, but that move will alienate a boatload of Independents.
