The way I see it, there are two choices. You can (1) give up, or (2) stand up. I'm going with 2. We do not have a king unless we allow that to happen.

We all knew he'd be acquitted, and now the GOP owns what happens next. We don't.

Trump does something even more corrupt and heinous because he thinks he can get away with it. The chickens will come home to roost and they'll shit all over the GOP.

Trump doesn't really think, he simply reacts. He's has no moral compass, he's not that bright, he's a sociopath, and he's surrounded himself his entire life with yes people. Given his past history, I believe it won't take very long for him to commit yet another high profile crime.

that in order to enforce its subpoenas, the House can employ its impeachment powers, as well as withhold appropriations. It was mentioned during the trial.

Yeah, good luck on seeing that actually happen.

and durable.

As per the Pollack & Edwards "World" dataset, as you can see, the United States is an unusually long-lived presidential regime system. It is a massive outlier in durability for this type of regime system.

We've been living on borrowed time, for a long time.

So stop it. This win for him is what will do him in. Why? Because it just pissed off 75% of Americans. That’s the 75% who wanted witnesses to be called.

This is far from over.

One can only be a King if they come from a royal bloodline, which Trump does not.

Authoritarian rulers who are not of royal blood are dictators.
