So basically the bullies won.

Anyone read Politico reporter Mark Albert's tweets this morning about what is motivating even retiring Congresspersons?

Fear. Fear of being bullied at home. Oh, and of course, problems with earning potential after their term/s.

Maybe someone has a link.

We've forced them to show what they've become to the nation, and that's a victory. Trump's a dangerous metastasis, not the cancer. Oh, true, some might mistakenly imagine Trump's the cancer and congressional Republicans are the metastasis, but it's a real advance over most people imagining all would be mostly fine again after Trump's gone.

The battle continues.
