I must agree with him. I actually thought that, too. We no longer can comment on other countries' actions when we cannot end our own corruption. This country is so hypocritical, it's embarrassing.

centuries of mistreatment of Native American populations alone is enough to belie any lofty notions we may purport to embrace

British may not be so publicly critical because they currently need a good deal and they know Dumpy is dumb enough to give away the farm to buy their "support."

Republicans can no longer claim:

Patriotism
Morality
Truthfulness
Christianity
Fiscal Responsibility

(there are probably others, but that covers the main points)

they have no problem calling our side un-any of that.

So, we need to give it right back. The only way to combat that messaging is with messaging of our own.

She saw a John Oliver bit about how Estonia looks like it's waiting for a Shrek attack -- https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=john+oliver+estonia+bit&view=detail&mid=A95497DF8AAD2E6865DAA95497DF8AAD2E6865DA&FORM=VIRE, so went there three years ago and fell in love with the country and its people. She's made friends and has been there five times. There are 700 start-up companies in Estonia right now it's a cheap country to live in. I can't wait to visit her but I do worry about her being so close to Russia.

The Lithuanians can't stand the Russians, and not just for their geopolitical aggression. The Russians are pushy in their physical body language even in neutral tourist zones...

But, in the end, the real problem is not Russia, it's not the US, it's the high concentration of wealth and power in the hands of a very few.
