Did I get a scam voting notice in my mail yesterday?

It was just a post card type of thing that told all Democrats to vote by mail. The post card was postage stamped as coming from San Francisco. I was suspicious of it as I have never gotten anything in the mail supposedly from Democrats to vote by mail. My voting location is two blocks from my house so I don't have the need to mail in my ballot but I'm curious if it is a scam. Here is what it says on the back:

Dear Voter,
1. The FL Democrat Party encourages ALL democrats to request a Vote By Mail Ballot
2. Never miss an election when you vote in comfort at home.
3. Sign up early - Call (904) 630-1414
4. When Duval County Dems VBM, Dems Win!
Thank you
Lo
The above is copied exactly like the postcard except on the card it is in had written script but printed.

The thing that makes me suspicious is, one, it says Democrat Party and not Democratic Party. Those kind of things raise my fraud radar. On the front of the card there is a graphic on the left saying be a voter 0n the right where the address is it is my address but it says Valued Voter where my name would be in the address line. What say you guys? Fraud or legit?
It was printed by www.PostcardsTo Voters.org

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postcards_To_Voters

Postcards To Voters is a group of American volunteers who write postcards to targeted voters in the hope of increasing Democratic turnout in close, key elections across the country. Founded by Tony McMullin, the group started informally in March 2017 with a handful of volunteers who wrote postcards in support of Georgia congressional candidate Jon Ossoff. By November 2018 it had grown to nearly 40,000 volunteers from every state in the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii, and sent approximately 3 million postcards. Volunteers write and often decorate the postcards by hand, paying for their own supplies and postage.

Although it is not clear exactly how effective the postcards are, a 2007 study showed that handwritten notes were three times as effective as machine-printed ones, and the group has supported more winning than losing candidates. Among the candidates the group has supported are Doug Jones of Alabama, who won a special U.S. Senate election in December 2017; Conor Lamb of Pennsylvania, who won a special U.S. House election in March 2018; and Danny O'Connor of Ohio, who narrowly lost a special U.S House election in August 2018. A full list of races and results can be found on the group's website.

Check with your local precinct.

It appears they are a Democratic support org encouraging Dems to get out the vote using personal post cards. Interesting.

5. I really hope the DNC (ideally with Stacy Abrams--be still my heart) publicizes dirty tricks

They ALWAYS come from the GOP. That tells you everything you need to know about those people. I think it would be strategic for the DNC to put the prevention of election fraud right at the top of their list of priorities--it would say so much about who really cares about democracy.

Plus, obviously, we don't want anybody to fall for these tricks.

Edited to say that apparently this is legit, which only makes it scarier that there has to be any doubt about things like this.

If it is a scam take to your county or state party HQs and let their lawyers look at it.

If it is a scam then somebody should be sued or turned over for criminal charges.

11. After checking at https://www.duvalelections.com it seems there are optical scanners at the polls

which means there are paper ballots -- possibly hand marked with the exception of the automark bmds for special needs voters. It is unclear, however, what exactly they have at these locations and it would be advisable to talk to your county elections official to get questions answered.

It seems that they also run the ballots thru the optical scanners throughout the day at the polling places which should be a violation of election law -- that means that tabulation is going on prior to the closing of the polls, however, you would need to clarify this with county elections.

If paper ballots are being used at the polls, then the postcard urging Vote By Mail (VBM) could be for a ballot harvesting scam. It is only in areas without paper ballots that VBM is recommended usually. If you do VBM, please hand deliver your ballot to the polling place on election day and do NOT let anyone do it for you unless you know and trust the person.

By the way...

Are you sure it said "Democrat Party" or did it say "Democratic Party?"

I understand that PostcardsToVoters.org is legit but it's always possible that THEY have been scammed by repukes.

Get some phone numbers from the site and call them to find out.

I got a letter saying I wasn’t registered so I went online and found my name which showed I was registered.
