Watching Brexit celebrations in the UK. A pattern is emerging.

Just as I figured - the Brexit cheerleaders are the same as the people who voted for Trump here. Who are the same as the Yellow Jackets in France, who are the same as the Catalan separatists in Spain, who are the same as the Duterte supporters in the Philippines, who are the same as the people who voted for Bolsonaro in Brazil, I could go on and on. It's almost like you can instantly tell which side they are on because they all exhibit strikingly similar behavior. It's the same boorish, loathsome, mean spirited, liberal taunting jackass that you see here, only rooting for a different country and slightly different political party. The kind who gets their jollies by "triggering" those who they don't agree with. It doesn't matter where you are.

Make no mistake, conservatives are waging a propaganda war, and that is one thing they are good at. I fear that what is happening here and in the UK, this is happening all over the world and there's not a lot we can do to stop it. I hope there is. Because what happened in England cannot happen here, or we are doomed. I feel like the Dark Side is taking over the entire world. I really want to hope that things are going to get better but after seeing what is going on today I am less than hopeful.

These morons would find some way to bring back the plague if you sold it to them a media hoax.

So, bringing it back isn't that far of a stretch...and we should never dare the morons to do something stupid...mainly because they look at it as a challenge...

I would think that peak stupid would have been reached at the Flat Earth Society, but it seems like new heights are reached every single day.

6. Tribalism and greed.

I suspect Brexit is largely about the greed of a few like Farage who want to be trillionaires and don't like some of the EU's more civilized restrictions getting in the way of their greed. Nordic EU countries like Denmark, Sweden, and Finland probably wouldn't approve of too much neoliberalism concentrating too much wealth by screwing the poor and working class. But Brexit also seems to be about people in more rural areas outside London rejecting the neoliberal status quo started by Reagan and Thatcher that has devastated their communities for 40 years just as it has so many rural areas in the U.S. Probably blamed on EU like GOP blames immigrants and regulations.

I think the Yellow Vests started out rightly objecting to neoliberal Macron's fuel tax and elimination of the wealth tax, but protests in France and elsewhere have a history of being co-opted by anarchists and other extremists. I don't know where it stands at this point.

Catalonians have their own language which adds to the tribal instincts. Plus their geographical location gives them a big economic advantage; I think they end up subsidizing much of Spain similar to blue states subsidizing red states in the U.S.

I think Duterte, Bolsonazi, and Modi are basically racist pigs so that's definitely the Trump crowd.

7. Tribalism is the current trend. Fear drives it and power mongers use it.

People who base their self worth on who they are and not what they’ve done—which elevates pride in who they are in a healthy way—are terrified of being wiped out by those others “taking over.” We’re terribly tribal at our most primitive and insecure.

Sadly the thing that could help is a very long game and takes lifting all boats, even theirs. But there’s no percentage in it. You can’t con a contented person.

I don’t know what’s going to come of this but I hope we survive.

He's former KGB. He knows he doesn't have to convince a majority to disrupt and corrupt democracies. See Hitler's rise to power.

Putin is boiling a frog instead of trying to smash it with a hammer. He has enthusiastic help from sociopathic billionaires and multi-millionaires who consider liberal governments mere obstacles.
