How or who is “forcing the economy into decline”?

How much suffering, especially among the poor who will be hardest hit, is acceptable in pursuit of your preferred political outcome?

will not change whatever safety net is there for the poor

I've increased by donations to organizations supporting the poor..because the number of poor is increasing

Spending more money on stuff doesn't help the poor one iota

If you want to successfully “drive down the economy” with the intent of hurting Trump, you’re going to disproportionately cause pain for poor people, by definition.

A lot of people who support him do not understand that so much of what's he's done really does hurt them. They only care that women, poor, people, people of color, and immigrants also suffer. I will also add "undesirable" religions.

How would you "tank" the economy. Stop shopping? Don't buy prescriptions or groceries? Don't shop at Amazon? It won't make a difference. You'd have stop everything. No food, no fuel, no medicine, no doctors appointments, no car repairs, no travel, no buying. No rent, no mortgage payments, ho home repairs. That's crazy. Switching suppliers? Yeah, right. Like switching to an independent pharmacy will make a difference. CVS doesn't care, and you're still pumping money into the economy. If you're a business, you have to ship stuff. You have three choices: USPS, UPS, and FedEx. Change from one to the other? No one cares. Take the train instead of the plane? Sure, that'll make a difference. Buy books at your indie bookstore? Again, that's still money into the economy, and Amazon doesn't care. Publishers don't care, as long as you buy their books.

Imposing tariffs was supposed to add jobs here. It didn't. So maybe that's the right move to tank the economy. Run the deficit into the trillions? It's there now, and nothing's happening, and it seems only economists care.

On a macro level, you may be right, in the sense that if statistics show a decline in the economy, RWers might think twice. In the absence of a recession, the economy seems to be marching along almost independent of who's in office. If unemployment goes up? Maybe. Depends on who's affected. But, a cult is a cult is a cult. Fundamentally they don't think twice. They don't even think once. They vote R and go home satisfied. Because voting D means women, gays, black, immigrants, et al take over, and they simply cannot have that happen.

the Orange Anus is safe. All by design. Moscow Mitch and Leningrad Lindsey control the levers of the Senate and with out a truly functioning Senate,we are screwed unless the Grim Reaper makes his appearance.

Watched about two or three minutes of that Iowa Freak show via U-Tube last night. That sucker was so friggin tweaked . And his facial skin color would get beet red as well as his neck would puff out. That sucker ain't well. I suppose his Doc could keep him pumped full of dope, but that comes to a end damn quick.

First, how could "we" force the economy in decline?

Second, why? To hurt the poor more? Don't you want your friends and neighbors to do well?

What is going to do him in is himself. Suburban women are killing the Republicans. Getting out the vote is the single key. Putting an African American woman on the ballot is a MUST.

But the sad fact is that the flow of wealth to the top has reduced the ability for us to affect the economy.

Furthermore, there would be a lot of collateral damage done to people that otherwise may support us.
