I don't have the stomach to listen to the impeachment trial today.

I never thought, growing up, that any political party would be complicit in the destruction of this country. Our focus must become all about trying to shrink that Republican Party down to a size that we can just flush it down the toilet (to paraphrase Grover Norquist).

I got one of those I really hate to bother you at home work calls which resulted in me having to back into the office to take care of something for our Division Head. My Supervisor is making it up to me by letting me leave at noon today. I think that I will go see The Rhythm Section movie and live vicariously as the main character takes revenge on the people responsible for the death of her family.

back to the Rethugs. It is clear that the Rethugs are only interested in having things their way all the time and will never truly be willing to work together across the aisle. Democrats have no option to play nice anymore. This country is in a death spiral that it may never recover from.

Courts, gerrymandering, voter suppression, it's quite a climb.

of "A Stable Genius" on Audible. I'm hoping there will be something sufficiently embarrassing about Trump in those last chapters to at least give me a glimpse of schadenfreude.

of complaints about the narration (though somebody posted a recommendation to listen to it at 1.25x and it improves).

13. I've listened to a lot of Audible books with narration I wasn't fond of. This one is so so...

If it were a fictional narrative, I think it would bother me more. It just reminds me of a couple of MSNBC and CNN pundits, whose voices are less appealing, but I will listen when necessary. I just try to focus on the content.

that call themselves Americans.

They still love him.

They still think media (other than Fox) is fake nrws.

They still believe (want to believe...have to believe) that they are better off with Trump fighting for their grievances.

Which makes me feel obligated to monitor it, but I don't want to spend my day being angry, frustrated, and scared. Plus I have a ton of work to do.
