Trial and tribulations
The jury is expected to return a verdict of ignore or praise in the trial of the alleged bank robber in the Perfect Money Request case, later today.
The subject of the trial was accused of pushing a gun into the bank tellers face and demanding bags of cash in return for not blowing off their face. They had asked the teller to coordinate the packaging of the funds with named colleagues.
However, an unnamed person tripped a silent alarm. After police were unable to redirect officers elsewhere a unit did arrive at the bank. The person then left the funds on the counter for the bank and sauntered past the officers and on to a bank robbers rally.
The defense refused to allow prosecutors to call witnesses during the trial. As they pointed out, those in the oversight tower were not actually in the room but only watched and listened from the tower. They did however demand to know about the person that tripped the alarm.
The defense repeatedly pointed out they suspected that witness had never approved of bank robberies and personally advocated against the defendant on other matters. As they pointed out they were unable to ascertain how well the witness knew the chief of police, how many time he has met with the chief, or how often he had been in the bank that day.
The defense also stated the entire matter was born over the FDIC policies and how those working at the bank disagreed with the new policy of requesting money at gun point. Even if those in the tower could substantiate the never rob a bankers claims, it was not a crime but a test of bank security because the money was left behind.
Under pressure, the bank is already working to eliminate any such time wasting activities in the future by removing all camera and recording devices from the tower. They are calling it the NannyNannybooboo rule.
Next week expect a new campaign to strip the prosecutors of all past rewards and accolades. There may be some discussion of removing, committing, or imprisoning some of the prosecutors leadership.
It is expected the Perfect Money Request defendant will reclaim his weapons and will be visiting other banks soon.
