I understand being upset with Trump being acquitted, but come on.

Some of the reactions I've seen in the last few threads I've opened have been:

*Mass murder of Democratic candidates and Democratic voters this fall

*Trump is going to cancel all elections this year and declare himself dictator of the United States

And so on.

Seriously, answer me that. Who will stop it?

It's how Putin established absolute power. He did not have that to begin with, but he arrested the opposition.

So tell me, who will stop it? Will a Susan Collins letter of concern stop it? Is any quisling GOP Senator going to stop it?

If he believes it is in the best interest of the country to cheat to get reelected, then they have said that is ok. That isn't fear mongering, that is the truth. The only question is how far you realistically think Trump will take it under Putin's orders.

It was all fun and games for the Senators until now, this is establishing a precedent for absolute power including nullifying election results. You can't argue it isn't. The facts are that it is.
