Sen. Lamar Alexander just had a Senate page deliver a note to Sen. Mitch McConnell. McConnell let it sit on his lap for a couple minutes, then read it and stuffed it in his suit jacket pocket. McConnells face is tough to read. But he didnt look in Alexanders direction.

(5,269 posts)Rachel Maddow said a few minutes ago that Lamar is going to announce his stance tonight. If he says he wants witnesses then most likely at least 3 others will vote with him for witnesses. But if he says he will be voting against witnesses then its all over and we can expect not enough votes for witnesses.
