I wonder what he is thinking when he is absolutely trashing what may be left of his own reputation to support Trump? I mean Trump has his mindless cultists, but I don't think their adoration extends to Mitch... right? So when Trump throws him under the bus it not like he has anyone to rally round to save his turkey neck. And that day cannot come soon enough.

I think he is making a huge miscalculation.

Do you really believe he gives a shit what people think of him? He has dutifully done his job -- planted two pro-corporate judges on SCOTUS and dozens in Federal and Appeals Courts. When voted out or retired he'll have board and consulting offers up his ass.
