"We took him out. That should have happened a long time ago." Donald J. Trump

“We took him out. That should have happened a long time ago." That's what DJT said after he ordered the killing of General Soleimani.

"Get rid of her. Get her out tomorrow. I don't care. Get her out tomorrow. Take her out. OK? Do it." That's what Donald Trump said, when he wanted the Ukrainian Ambassador to be 'fired."

https://www.emptywheel.net/2020/01/27/three-things-odd-odder-oddities/

Doesn’t it strike you as odd that this same man used the phrase, “Take her out!” about removing a public servant, but paraphrased his remarks about the assassination of Iran’s General Qassem Soleimani that he’d ordered? “I will say this, we caught a total monster. We took him out. That should have happened a long time ago,” Trump said.

Doesn’t it strike you as odd GOP senators are more upset about Schiff’s repeating a threat ostensibly made by the White House to them, rather than Trump’s repeated use of mobster language?

And in between the General's killing, and the dinner where Trump discussed the Ambassador, there were the ominous texts between Lev Parnas and Robert Hyde:

https://www.npr.org/2020/01/15/796593183/new-lev-parnas-documents-suggest-u-s-ambassador-was-under-surveillance-in-ukraine

Wow. Can't believe Trumo [sic] hasn't fired this bitch. I'll get right in that," Hyde wrote in an encrypted message to Parnas. He added, "She under heavy protection outside Kiev."

The messages also seem to indicate that Hyde might have been involved in monitoring Yovanovitch and her movements.

"They are moving her tomorrow," Hyde later wrote, quickly followed by, "The guys over they asked me what I would like to do and what is in it for them."

Hyde said Yovanovitch had turned off her phone and computer, and that his associates in Ukraine would give updates on the ambassador's movements. He added, "They are willing to help if we/you would like a price ... Guess you can do anything in the Ukraine with money ... what I was told."

Fruman and Parnas were on their way to Vienna. Firtash is under house arrest in Vienna for racketeering, money laundering and bribery. Townsend and diGenova are his lawyers.

He is invested in Strategic Communication Laboratories, it's subsidiary is Cambridge Analytica. He is also connected to Mogilevich, the Boss of all Bosses. At one point Mogilevich's lawyer was William Session's, Pete Sessions Daddy. Yes that Pete Sessions. The one that wrote the letter to trump urging the ouster of Yavonavitch and has his campaign coffers full of Russian $$$

Their involvement would not have been needed if this was only about firing her. Nor would they have needed to surveil her.

I wonder if it became known that there were physical threats against her and it was decided to get her out of town before they could be carried out. I haven't looked that up, but I seem to remember she was whisked away from there on very short notice.

If so, maybe someone should look more closely into that.

Informing her that she needed to leave on the NEXT plane out to the U.S. Not in a few days. Not when she could get around to it. On the next plane out. That sounds like an emergency to me.... As if she was under serious threat of harm. GET OUT ASAP. That sounds like a pretty dire warning.
