New statement from John Boltons attorney Charles Cooper appears to confirm the latest NYT reporting. And it appears Bolton offered to testify to the Senate under subpoena a week after submitting the manuscript to the WH for classification review.

(21,793 posts)He will not be called (I suspect he already has a deal with Mitch), or if he is called he will appeal to a Federal Court, or if he does testify, he will try to help the President.
The man has a book to sell.
Liberals won't buy it. They hate Bolton. This is a book for conservative hardcores, and they will not buy it if there is a single aspersion against their Trump.
And since these conservative books rely on "program sales", he can't afford to piss off the PAC's and Foundations and Nonprofits and Mega Churches or even the solitary American Oligarch. His big book deal, along with it's perks, would be a dud.
