(129,118 posts)I have been watching on CSPAN2 and just switched to MSNBC. If Schmuck shows up on there, I will mute!
Hermit-The-Prog
(33,356 posts)I usually flip through the OTA (over the air) broadcast stations here, but try to hit ABC in breaks. Forgot it was on NBC for that one. I can't stand listening to Schmuck Chuck and CBS sometimes has Priebus during breaks.

(129,118 posts)I was making the thread here and hunting down streams to add and suddenly Brian Williams broke in and muted the first minute of Schiff to announce that Jim Lehrer had died. I thought I had been watching it on CSPAN2 so I was about to throw the remote across the room trying to get to CSPAN2 (it's on channel 1129 on my Comcast vs the 818 of MSNBC).

(4,982 posts)Now paraphrasing: That the pResident was pursuing. It isnt some tweet from a Ukrainian politician. Were talking about the very specific CT that it was Ukraine that hacked into the DNC server in 2016.
Then on to quote Schiffs comment:
This theory was brought to you by the Kremlin.

(33,356 posts)He has a tendency to characterize and simplify some statements rather than stick to verbatim quotes. The RWNJs jumped on this when he characterized Trump's "perfect" phone call as a mob boss communication; they will try it again.
BumRushDaShow
(129,118 posts)vs what was done with questioning people under oath, is that this is a "presentation". It's not part of any questioning and it is a more traditional thing that lawyers do for trial court.
You have to "bring the jurors along with you in the narrative of why they are there". Show them "what happened that prompted these 'charges'". And it has to be done this way so that they don't get bogged down and mired in legal cites or the technicalities of civil or criminal code.
It's interesting but sad that the biggest circus sideshow - the GOP's "legal" (in quotes) arguments - are held at a different standard but are still considered valid and "equal" to the Democrats' arguments because the GOP doesn't apologize for their scattershot nonsense and waves any criticism away - and they seem to be successful in doing that.

(129,118 posts)since nothing was presented like that or shown by them during the House Impeachment Inquiry. They would really have to manufacture some Breitfart/Faux Snooze fake shit that delves into the Biden CT if they want to do a multimedia thing.
From what I am still hearing, they are supposed to present on Saturday (least TV-watched day of the week).
Hermit-The-Prog
(33,356 posts)All the screeching from the House hearings, repeated for the entertainment of the GOP.
BumRushDaShow
(129,118 posts)and even if they did, it would merely "validate" the Impeachment inquiry, which they refused to do during the lifetime of that investigation.
So they are truly in a quandary outside of standing up there for a couple hours to bullshit and pound the table and whine about how "unfair" it was and how they don't know why they are even there and that it should be summarily dismissed.

(33,356 posts)WTF? Just continue the damned coverage and quit yapping over Adam Schiff to say you'll be continuing coverage!
BumRushDaShow
(129,118 posts)there was nothing in any of the call transcripts or discussions that had anything to do with "corruption" but rather, focused on investigating a political rival, as confirmed by those who prepared the talking points and/or listened in on the calls.
