(9,426 posts)by many, many of their colleagues. The deadwood who are sitting at the hearing doodling, doing crossword puzzles and behaving as though they have been "kept after school". Are there any ADULTS in the gop? Maybe there is not, and that would explain their hero worship of the child in the WH. Biggest spoiled bully EVER, so he is their role model.

(3,823 posts)His approval rating in Kentucky is in the toilet. Let's retire Lindsay Graham as well and as many other of the bleeping bleeps as possible to save the country.

(32,086 posts)He needs to be booted out of the Senate along with the rest of them.

(10,012 posts)If Democrats take control of the Senate, then most likely well have the White House as well. Moscow Mitch has been a power broker for far too long, and he will not like playing second fiddle. Plus, he can cash in even more by working for some corporate entity.

(21,487 posts)Loved hearing Madame Speaker use that term for him as Bill Maher's guest. Audience liked it, too.

(42 posts)When I read about Collins' note to Roberts chastising Nadler for calling the Republican effort a cover-up I was so disgusted I coughed up five bucks for Sara Gideon.

The cynic in me says we won't get anywhere until we have the utterly ridiculous "supermajority" that Mitch inflicted the last time we had more than they did.
Not only that, but we need at least 4 victories so we don't have a 50 - 50 tie and Pence becoming the tiebreaker.

(14,764 posts)They just guaranteed themselves millions in speaking fees, lobbyist jobs, think tank chairs, tee-vee contracts, and other very lucrative endeavors.
The only death in and after the senate would come from taking a principled stand. They will lose either way. But on one path there will be fame and fortune. The other, hate, isolation, and threats.

(3,011 posts)We've not been able to secure our elections, so I can't help worrying they play to an audience of one because tRump controls the thugs who will hack our machines. (or rather, Putin does) We have to make it clear to people that our only hope is a HUGE turnout in every state where it's expected to be close. Plus, we have to expect machines to go down completely in high density blue counties and have a plan. I don't even have ideas here, but hopefully someone else knows how to counter machine hacking. Honest hackers, maybe?

(5,506 posts)they have the voting machines rigged and help from Russia. That's why they act so smug all the time.
We should be screaming about these bogus electronic voting machines to the heavens. What have Dems done to correct this?
Until those machines are banished from our elections, you can bet Repukes will keep on "winning".

(6,189 posts)don't they make it clear that they will help finance any primary challenger running against MoscowMitch, Collins, Ernst, Gardner, McSally, and Tills? The major threat to our democracy is an acquitted Trump. He will see the acquittal as a green flag. And I think we haven't seen the worst from him yet
Those folks (other than MoscowMitch aka MM) are worried about holding their seat. MoscowMitch is holding the threat of supporting a primary challenger over their heads, the vote with us or else threat!
Knowing they would get financial support from the two money guys might make it a whole lot easier to do the right thing.
News reports have said Bloomberg has already spent a quarter of a billion on advertising.
Who knows what Steyer has spent.
