On New Year's Eve, I thought I made it to midnight. But, the celebration and fireworks on TV, it turned out, were broadcast from Paris. Dang. Missed another one.



I think, in passing out, you missed nothing. There is some good speehifying, but it's long-winded.

4. I get up at 3AM every day (MT)... As determined as I was to hear Schiff wrap up, it was damned hard

After his last bit, I ended up streaming the audio on tune-in thinking I could hear some of Rachel and panel on the wrap-up. I am certain I fell asleep within seconds of turning off the screens and switching to audio-only.


I don't excuse the Senators for what (among Republicans at least) has been an inexcusable lack of full attention. They surely have heard of "no-doze" caffeine tabs. But, I do recognize these are some long days.

5. just after midnight a fight broke out between Schiff and Graham,

Graham was clearly winning when President Trump walked in and broke it up and sat them down.
He yelled: "Back to work" and walked out again.
