I am an MSNBC person, I enjoy almost all of the people on there except Chuck Todd. I have a true dislike of his reporting. I would have thought they would have had Rachel or Nicole Wallace, heck I would even take Brian Williams over this guy. I guess I need to watch CNN today, damn.

(11,294 posts)I agree, MSNBC and Chuck Todd wants that election ad money and have an interest in keeping things divided .

(6,448 posts)It starts at the top with Phil Griffin. The same guy who unloaded Keith Olbermann, Ed Schultz, and Melissa Harris-Perry, among others.
I'm just too liberal for any cable news network. They have to suck up to conservative advertisers. Money talks--Truth walks. John Lennon said, "Gimme Some Truth".

(25,601 posts)Hes a ridiculous excuse for a reporter and for a human being
I am not a CNN fan but turned over to Cnn so I don't have to listen to him. He is off now, I think Ari is taking over.
CaptYossarian
(6,448 posts)co-hosts like crap, always talking down to them and going out of his way to throw in commonly-known Law 101 terms to brag about being a lawyer. He may as well have called them "Dum-Dum" the way The Great Gazoo called Fred and Barney on The Flintstones.
The Cycle was a less than perfect show itself. There was way too much fluff and celebrity filler on what is supposed to be a politically-minded network.

(10,082 posts)I like him on particular legal issues but his show is going down hill with him putting on GOP talking point has beens, and is enraptured by Rap singers who frankly are entitled to their own opinion but I am not interested in hearing from them. He should be hosting a variety show because he seems to be a little star struck with his rap friends.

(14,891 posts)I work remotely, so I can have a tee-vee on in the background if I want (usually not - I usually listen to kagro in the morning), but people with real lives don't get to watch at 9:00 am. Morning joe actually has the best morning slot. People get up and turn on the tube while getting ready.
Yes, I know, there are off shift workers. But it's not a time slot many would be watching. They sleep then.

(34,139 posts)She is more conservative than I like but at least she tried to be impartial in her reporting. Any earlier, Joe Scarborough and his gang would piss me off. I guess I will sleep in to 10 AM now or not watch news in the morning.

(7,113 posts)They clearly like and respect each other and can manage to anchor the coverage together without stepping on each other's comments or getting into on-air spats (thinking of major meltdowns between Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews many moons ago).
Maybe Chuck Todd can team up with his best buddy, Hugh Hewitt, but on a different channel.

(7,434 posts)Watch Mitchell ridicule HRC for her criticism of Sanders-- not because she favors Sanders, but because she hates Clinton. Mitchell can't be unbiased. He was one of the major players who drummed HRC out of an election win. And Todd? An empty suit. Nothing more.

(4,341 posts)I stopped watching everything a couple of days ago, we are at a point where these crooks don't care about showing to the world what traitors they are, how corrupt they are, and any criticism or discussion about "how history will judge them" are null conversations, they don't care, dead people don't read history or anything else and what they leave behind is of no concern to them, their children will have to defend themselves, that is their inheritance.
They, GOP, are dead already, dead inside, they have stopped caring for their reputations, and many of them don't have many years to go, when they go they won't care, there is no one to judgement that they would care about once they are buried or cremated, they are dead, they can't hear, see, so who cares what they say about them, they already know what will be written about them, the biggest traitors this country has ever had, even Benedict Arnold could not have topped what this people are doing.
I will wait for the results, I hope I am pleasantly surprised, but I actually have reached a point where my personal lack of ability to change things has turned into anxiety, and that is not healthy.

(21,440 posts)the rest will push the right wing narrative. Not talking about weekend anchors. MSNBC helped elect Trump just like cnn and Fox and cbs and abc.
The fix is in, the narrative coming out of this "trial" will be that House Democrats didn't do their jobs. Wait and see if I am right.

(90,865 posts)...in a modest procession of the principals, he complained repeatedly about the "ritual" and the "pomp" and how it looked made-up and how the American People were going to think it was a waste of time to watch.
I said to the tv screen, "Chuck, shut up. You have at least two Catholics on that panel who could explain to you the importance of ritual."
But did he listen to anyone? No, he had some kind of bug up his butt about it.
